Summary: Attending Oxford was almost a foregone conclusion for Sherlock, but his future path is much less certain.
Author's notes: I am currently studying at Oxford University, so I couldn't resist the chance to depict Sherlock as a fellow Oxonian! This story is a Sherlock-focused prequel to my John-POV fic "Food for thought" (at LJ or at AO3), but it can be read independently.
