Complete in six parts, Dreamwidth master post here, and here on AO3

It's winter once more, nearly eight months since The Moriarty Incident, as John calls it, and going on a year since John and Sherlock moved in together. The flat at 221b has become home. John continues to accompany Sherlock on cases. For John, the thought of a life without Sherlock is no thought at all; Sherlock, who has never before given thought to his own course among the infinite possibilities each new moment presents, is finding that sharing a life is not quite so simple as clearing a space in the fridge and going halves on rent.

What happens when the term "flat mate" is no longer adequate?

Spanning the course of two weeks, one empty syringe, a deleted blog entry, the first case John ever sees get to Sherlock, and several brain massages, "The Mystery of the Girl with No Face" tracks the deepening of Sherlock and John's relationship at the end of their first year together.

Title: E Pluribus Unum
Author: [personal profile] cridecoeur
Pairing: Sherlock/John
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 1991
Warnings: Spoilers for the whole series. Also, major character death because I'm continuing my fine tradition of writing fic no one will want to read. /o\
Summary: The thing of it is, John knew from the beginning that one day, he would probably have to bury Sherlock.
A/N: I wrote this as comfort fic for myself after seeing TGG. My comfort fic is, uh, not like other people's comfort fic, haha. There are more notes over on AO3, if you would like to read them. God knows why you would.

Read it on AO3.

Title: Possibly We’re Fine
Author: [personal profile] metisket
Characters: John, Sherlock
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Spoilers for all three episodes
Disclaimer: BBC Sherlock does not belong to me.
Summary: In which Sherlock combats boredom by, among other things, trying to goad John into attacking him. John is sadly resistant.
Excerpt: There are undoubtedly people dying all over London, and it seems the least they could do to arrange to die in interesting ways. Boring deaths are infuriatingly wasteful.

Title: How Can We Say Forever (6/6)
Author: [personal profile] queenfanfiction
Fandom: Sherlock BBC
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Character death (not the one you'd think), some prisoner torture, and dark angsty angst. Also, a lot of run-on sentences. If you wage epic wars on grammar fail, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. SOMETIMES I EVEN DO THEM ON PURPOSE.
Summary: In the three years since the mysterious Moriarty's death in the poolside explosion, John Watson has become a husband, a father, and a widower, all the while still mourning the loss of his friend and flatmate Sherlock Holmes. When Sherlock, very much not dead and very much in trouble, finally finds his way home again, John is forced to decide which he will protect first: his new family, or his old love—or maybe, just maybe, he can find a way to choose both.
Disclaimer: #NotIntendedToBeAFactualStatement
Author's Notes: Saw a prompt at [livejournal.com profile] sherlockbbc_fic that asked for (really abridged version of the prompt due to spoilers) Sherlock's supposed death in TGG leading to John's marriage. That was the spark for this idea, but then it grew into a forest fire that my muse has apparently been feeding gasoline and crude oil. Title taken from the lyrics of "Right Here Waiting For You," which just happens to be the song John chooses to dance to at his wedding.
Chapter Notes: A response to the anons who vociferously voiced their opinions re: the previous chapter can be found here. Even though this story is now finished, that doesn't mean that this 'verse is now complete. There should be much more to follow in the Jenny Watson AU (including a bad!porn!fic that I am totally not linking with the rest of it) as soon as my other RL commitments get finished, as explained here. That being said, a big heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who's stayed for this entire monster of a fic. Your support and feedback is and always has been greatly appreciated. :)

Chapter Notes: For those who wondered re: Jenny being able to read/write at two years of age, I know that this is possible because that's exactly what happened to me. Not a word out of my mouth until I was two-and-a-half, though when I finally did talk I was apparently using full sentences and compound clauses. Maybe not the most usual occurrence, probably a tad bit on the Asperger spectrum, actually, but it's clearly a possible scenario. :) Also, warning y'all now—if you weren't happy with the way TGG ended, um. You might not want to read this chapter until I've posted the final part. I'm just saying. *shifty*
