Summary: After the events of Reichenbach John and Lestrade discover that there are still pockets of light in the world. Sherlock has to realise that he cannot fully control his subconscious or his emotions.
Chapter summary: Sherlock Holmes is dead but there are still pockets of light in the world. He is determined to savour them as best he can.
Spoilers: this is set immediately after the end of season 2
Warnings (highlight to read f. spoilery warnings): assumed character death and related emotional trauma, people having consensual sex under the influence of alcohol, internalised homophobia
