A couple odd things

A couple odd things I haven't been able to figure out for myself, hoping you guys can help:

• The horned animal skull on the wall with the headphones -- what species is it?
  
  
• During John's war-nightmare his name is shouted a few times, then right when he wakes up there's two echoing syllables -- I can't make them out, and the subtitles didn't catch them.

1. I believe the skull is just a plain old steer. Quite common as truck decoration where I live. This picture seems similar.

Not a clue about 1), but I thought 2) was "look at me!" in the sense of 'you're going into shock, I don't want you drifting off'.

In Texas I'd believe it, didn't realize they were popular in London. "Truck decoration"? I've loaned out my DVD set so I'm looking at my downloads trying to figure it out, and the resolution's not so hot.

Somewhere - might have been the PBS online versions - I saw closed captioning that suggested that the echoing last line in John's nightmare is "hit the deck".

Way way way late to the party, but I just had to offer my two bits. Having grandparents who are cattle ranchers, I'm more inclined to say that's a bison skull. Cows tend to be a bit narrower in my experience. Not that it really matters.

I beg to differ -- I think "bison skull" will sound much better than the alternatives. I tend to be finicky about details when I'm writing -- appreciate your help!
