Summary: Sherlock and John are both damaged people. Gradually they discover how they can help each other to stay alive; and not only stay alive, but live.
This is a story about needing something right down to the bottom of your soul, and eventually getting it. I have some trouble with the warnings, as this fic contains BDSM, so that has to go in there, but mostly it's a romantic character study. I've heard 'I don't normally read BDSM but I love this!' from quite a lot of people.
