Name: Jenny.
Blog/Journal/Site: [personal profile] ghostgum (also [archiveofourown.org profile] jenwryn)
Sample Post: Well, I post things like fanfic; and also random entries about my life, like this. More personal things are access-locked.
Writer/Artist/Vidder/Iconographer/Knitter of Orange Blankets: Writer, definitely. I dabble in recording podfiction, too. And bake really nice cupcakes, but that's not really relevant, um.
Country: Australia.
Occupation: I'm a graduate student, and a baby librarian. That is, I'm new to the career; I don't catalogue babies. Though I totally could. :P
What else are you into? (fannish): Mostly it's Sherlock for me, at the moment. I'm always into Doctor Who, though, and then there's Merlin, Battlestar Galactica, Dollhouse... I fangirl, therefore I am, or something; just ask my delicious account.
What else are you into? (in the real world): Talking too much, hanging out with my dog, walking, travelling, reading, writing poetry and not!fanfic, and cooking (vegetarians represent! or... whatever).
One awesome thing you did this year: Oh God, this year has been little but grad school, therefore not terribly exciting. I have just applied for a spiffy-looking job, in the South Pacific, though; that feels pretty awesome right now. :D
I am a Watsonian/ I am a Doylesian/ I have no idea what you're talking about: I am going by the skin of my teeth as to what these terms mean, but I'm guessing more Watsonian.

Favourite Character: John Watson.
Favourite Character Who is Neither Sherlock nor John: Sarah. Or Lestrade. I can't choose. Go away. (Sarah really does need more love, though!)
Favourite Pairing: John/Sherlock, being gloriously domestic and crazy.
Favourite Scene: In the cab, in the first episode, when Sherlock has the big monologue about Harry; I adore that John just sits there and listens (surely most people would want to automatically correct the know-it-all, with a basic gender fact wrong!), and I adore the reactions after that. And then, of course, the entire pool scene, in episode three, slays me on many levels, too.
Riding Crop or Service Revolver: Service revolver, please.
The Beeb's Modern AU - well-done or half-baked?: Awesomesauce. The clothes alone make me fangasm. And don't even get me started on the love that is this contemporary Watson.

Other Adaptations I Enjoy: The 2009 movie, mainly.
Favourite Original Story: "The Adventure of the Speckled Band."
Favourite Screen Holmes: Big screen? That would be Downey Jr.
I am a fan of another adaptation which is incredibly obscure and which I will now gush about: *the sound of crickets chirping* :D

My thoughts on yaoi: Tastes excellent with cocoa pops.
My Other Fandoms: Primarily Doctor Who and Merlin, at the moment.
What I'd like to see happen in this comm: I'm a modly mod, so don't really count. Fic exchanges are always epic, though.
