Title: Pull the Stars from the Sky (3/10)
Author: [personal profile] roane
Pairing(s): John/Sherlock
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: ~8,000 (this chapter, ~18K total so far)
Warnings: PTSD, drug addiction issues. WIP.

Summary: It’s the fall of 2000, and to help him out after his military career has ended due to injury, John Watson’s sister Harriet gets him a job as US tour manager for rising star of the industrial scene and enfant terrible, Sherlock Holmes. Sherlock’s not long out of rehab and there are plenty of doubts as to whether he’s serious about recovery. Plus, the music industry is shaking in its boots over the Napster mess. All John has to do is keep the money coming in and make sure his star doesn’t screw things up. After the army, that should be easy, right?

Author's Note: There are a lot of people who've helped with this: thanks to my fantastic betas emmadelosnardos, greywash, and ardatli, who have set me straight more times than I can count, already. Any mistakes are mine and not theirs. Also thanks to my Britpicker nichellen, and abundantlyqueer for soooo much military information and patience with my multitude of questions. And thanks to my anonymous music insider, you know who you are.

More Sherlock Location Hunting in London over Easter

Over Easter I went back to my old haunts in London to have a fun day out after a surprise meeting with two other fans. It quite honestly, felt like being right in an episode with running around, jumping in and out of taxis and dashing from place to place. We were under a very strict time limit but with many cries of 'Trust me, I lived here for ten years', and their replying 'Hold my hand!' and dashing across roads, I made my train home for 5pm.

Although I started out at Barts (it's the nearest location to Liverpool Street where my train comes in) and have a huge dossier of snaps from there I'm hanging back with those photos so not to spoiler our friends in the States.

For those who want to follow the unfolding story (there are going to be many posts as I have so many photos) the best thing is to keep an eye on the Sherlock and Locationing tags in either my LJ or DW.
