Name: Nicol Leoraine
Blog/Journal/Site: [personal profile] leoraine or http://leoraine.livejournal.com
Sample Post: Mostly fan fiction, vids and recs.
Writer/Artist/Vidder/Iconographer/Knitter of Orange Blankets: Writer and sometimes a vidder, though I feel more comfortable with my writing efforts. Currently on small hiatus though.
Country: Czech republic
Occupation: Working at a shop, looking for a new job
What else are you into? (fannish): Sherlock is currently on the top, but I'm also watching SPN, NCIS, The Glades, Castle, Listener, any movie adaptation of Terry Pratchett, Doctor Who and several others I can't think of right now lol
What else are you into? (in the real world): The Internets, LJ/DW, trying to play the keyboard, writing and reading, going out with friends. I also like swimming:-)
One awesome thing you did this year: Eh, this year so far was nothing but work. I can't think of anything "awesome" happening around me, but the year's not over so there's still hope:-)
I am a Watsonian/ I am a Doylesian/ I have no idea what you're talking about: I... don't know what you mean by that. Kinda new to the fandom.

Favorite Character: John Watson. And Sherlock Holmes of course.
Favorite Character Who is Neither Sherlock nor John: I find Lestrade more sympathetic, but Mycroft is just too much fun, so dunno.
Favorite Pairing: Gen. Sherlock/Watson if it's done properly
Favorite Scene: Just one? The scene where they first met and Sherlock winked at Watson. Watson above the body saying Fantastic and Sherlock saying "You realise you're talking aloud?" The whole scene between Watson and Mycroft, then the scene with Sherlock realising it was Sherlock who saved him. Argh... too much to list.
Riding Crop or Service Revolver: Service revolver
The Beeb's Modern AU - well-done or half-baked?: Well done, perfectly done... I want moooore!!!
Original Story I'd most like to see adapted: All? Though I don't really care for Baskerville, although I would be curious of how they adapt that.

Other Adaptations I Enjoy: Jeremy Brett
Favorite Original Story: Don't know.
Favorite Screen Holmes: I guess Jeremy Brett is written in too deeply in my memories, but I looove Benedict's Holmes too. Also liked RDJ, but I think it was more liking the actor than his role *chuckle*
Best Granada Watson: Huh? Not sure what that means. But my favorite Watson is Martin Freeman, closely followed by the one playing along Jeremy Brett. (shame on me I don't know his name)
I am a fan of another adaptation which is incredibly obscure and which I will now gush about: I'm afraid no gushing will occure.

My thoughts on yaoi: Hm? None really. Don't follow.
My Other Fandoms: Already replied above with fannish things:-)
What I'd like to see happen in this comm: (Book clubs, movie nights, meetups, fic exchanges, weekly prompts, etc. etc. etc.) Yeah, everything mentioned here, though I think most prominent are news about Sherlock, the actors, fic posts, prompt, fic recs, videos and photos. Audiofics and other stuff is also very welcome:-) I must add though that I think all those things are already present and take this as a chance to thank the mods for great job:-)

First, this:

The scene where they first met and Sherlock winked at Watson. Watson above the body saying Fantastic and Sherlock saying "You realise you're talking aloud?"

That moment was just completely meltingly adorable. The chemistry between the two actors and the way their performances play off each other--it's just magical. Casting is always so key, and I love it when a show gets it so, so right!

Also, glad to find another Sherlock fan who is also an SPN fan (premiere Friday! eek!). If it's OK, I'll add you to my reading list?

The casting in this one is really great and the fact Moffat is behind the wheel is cool too:-)

Feel free to add me, I'll add you too. Btw, can't wait for Friday! Yay SPN!
