Blog/Journal/Site:
Sample Post: Usually involves either fangushing over something or other, or Real Life Important things that happen in Meatspace. Except nothing important ever happens to me, don't worry. Fic when I write it, that is, sporadically and usually only when I have a challenge deadline hanging over my head for motivation. Like now. *Glances up nervously*
Writer/Artist/Vidder/Iconographer/Knitter of Orange Blankets: Writer? But if I knew how to knit, I would totally knit orange blankets full-time.
Country: Canada.
Occupation: Student. That is, music student, for now. If you really want to hear about my RL, I will show you all about my angst over whether I should be doing a Classics degree or not, so check back this time next year and I may or may not be a Classics student who just happens to own a bassoon.
What else are you into? (fannish): Mainly Doctor Who, which will surprise nobody as for some reason many Sherlock Holmes fans seem to be Doctor Who fans as well. I think they just go together nicely.
What else are you into? (in the real world): Music-- as mentioned, I play bassoon, perhaps as a profession, perhaps not. Although I have never played a filk-appropriate instrument, or heard any in meatspace-- which is sort of the whole point of the genre, really-- I want to like burning. Classics-- as in, Greek, Latin and any related items-- is my love that keeps mugging my Music degree on its way home, and I would almost like to say that Cambridge Latin Course is my fandom because why yes, I have written fanfiction for a language textbook. No matter how hard I try, gymnastics is the only sport I give a damn about. I also like stuffed rabbits and smoothies and things that are fuzzy.
One awesome thing you did this year: Took an impromptu trip to Vancouver, which is now my favorite city in the world.
I am a Watsonian/ I am a Doylesian/ I have no idea what you're talking about: If this means what I think it does, Doylesian.
Favorite Character: Er, Sherlock Holmes?
Favorite Character Who is Neither Sherlock nor John: Mycroft. I think he's hilarious and I loved the whole arch-nemesis thing.
Favorite Pairing: *cocks eyebrow*
Favorite Scene: Is it cheating if I pick my favorite scene from the unaired pilot? Well, I will. That scene. When he's on the roof. Just. I have a thing for people standing heroically on rooftops, okay? I engage in a geed deal of illicit roof-climbing myself. And John's face. His face.
Riding Crop or Service Revolver: RIDING CROP GUUUUUUUUUH
The Beeb's Modern AU - well-done or half-baked?: Well-done, except for the second episode. But everyone ignores that one anyway, so whatever.
Original Story I'd most like to see adapted: I'm going to say The Empty House, although I'm not sure if the storylines are quite compatible. But I want to see sneaky Sherlock and fainting John!
Other Adaptations I Enjoy: I haven't seen one that I haven't enjoyed. Although to be fair, I haven't seen the one with the dinosaurs. Also, I am totally counting House as an adaption.
Favorite Original Story: The Final Problem. Not gonna lie, I cried so much. Even though, y'know, obviously he wasn't dead because there were still several hundred more pages left in the book.
Favorite Screen Holmes: Oh, Jeremy Brett. I don't even. I love Cumberbatch, but I don't see him when I think Sherlock Holmes.
Best Granada Watson: ...I am incapable of paying any attention whatsoever to Watson in the Granada series. I know this is a bad thing and I feel bad about it. So I think I'll just say, my definitive Watson is in fact Jude Law, which surprised me quite a bit.
I am a fan of another adaptation which is incredibly obscure and which I will now gush about: Er... not really... everyone's seen this clip from The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes, right?
My thoughts on yaoi: Thank goodness, I was almost starting to think you didn't care about my Thoughts On Yaoi!
My Other Fandoms: Mainly Doctor Who and Sherlock, with a vague smattering of Torchwood and oh, Classics slash, I will take it wherever I find it!
What I'd like to see happen in this comm: (Book clubs, movie nights, meetups, fic exchanges, weekly prompts, etc. etc. etc.) (Your mods are totally unsubtle in this regard) All of the above? :D

I have a friend who wrote Quintus/Dumnorix PWP while sitting in Literature class. And then I wrote a Sherlock Holmes crossover for her, because Sherlock Holmes obviously lived in Roman Britain.
(Oh, and you've read lysimache's Archa Salvii, right?)
UM BASICALLY YEAH HI!!!!
