Blog/Journal/Site:
Sample Post: This is my fandom blog. My favorite post is this one.
Writer/Artist/Vidder/Iconographer/Knitter of Orange Blankets: Writer (fic, recs, and meta). I've been poking at vidding, but it's hard and I'm a perfectionist, so who knows.
Country: USA
Occupation: Student (Undergraduate in Biology and Health & Societies
What else are you into? (fannish): I'm currently into Sherlock and Inception, perpetually into Young Wizards and Doctor Who, and flirt with other fandoms big and small at an alarming rate. See my Delicious for details.
What else are you into? (in the real world): Politics, science, bioethics, knitting.
One awesome thing you did this year: I taught English in China this summer, which was one of the most amazing things I've ever done. Ask me about Chinese fangirls!
I am a Watsonian/ I am a Doylesian/ I have no idea what you're talking about: I flirt with Watsonian perspectives, but Doylesian ways allow for much more snark.
Favorite Character: John H. Watson.
Favorite Character Who is Neither Sherlock nor John: Sally Donovan. Fandom needs to give her more love, or at least screentime.
Favorite Pairing: John/ asexual or reluctantly sexual Sherlock (I enjoy their Boston Marriage).
Favorite Scene: The Reichenbach Pool from The Great Game. It wasn't until that scene was over that I realized I'd watched a villain monologue for ten minutes straight and liked it. It just gets the tension up and then keeps it there the whole. time.
Riding Crop or Service Revolver: Service revolver.
Original Story I'd most like to see adapted: I'd love to see "The Blue Carbuncle" done well, mainly because I am a sucker for a Christmas story. I live in fear of an adaptation of "The Creeping Man," because I know they'd try to bring genetics in somehow and that inevitably ends in me yelling a lot at the screen.
Other Adaptations I Enjoy: the Basil Rathbone movies, the Granada series, the 2009 movie, the BBC radio dramatizations with Clive Merrison and Michael Williams, "A Study in Emerald"... I like Sherlock Holmes okay?
Favorite Original Story: "The Three Garridebs." As the possessor of a weird-ass last name, I empathize.
Best Granada Watson: Edward Hardwicke.
I am a fan of another adaptation which is incredibly obscure and which I will now gush about: Okay, so, did anyone else read those books by Larry Millett where Holmes and Watson are in Minnesota tooling around with a guy named Shadwell Rafferty? Because I did, and I've always wondered if I was alone.
My thoughts on yaoi: Good!
What I'd like to see happen in this comm: I'm the mod, I don't count.

I'd never heard of this term before, but wikipedia is my friend, and so now I feel all deliciously educated, and more than a little delighted. :3

Boston Marriage - Wow, I never knew. That's cool.
